Using tufting techniques, Raphael Dias takes us on a journey through colors, textures, shapes and time. Paper cutouts and collages are his studies, where his soul materializes his love for the waters of the sea, the touch of stones and the beauty of the dawn. The wool and its thousands of stitches, connected by Raphael, welcome us and bring us closer, to the present, to the now. The organic, irregular surface is a call to contemplate the nuances of life.
In Sedimentar, the artist immortalizes the layers of the earth. The trio of works poetically portrays geology. It reveals what exists beneath the surface and the diversity present in its sediments.

The PERTO exhibition features 8 unique works created by Raphael Dias. The tapestries were born from a visit Raphael made to Roberto Burle Marx's farm and grew as the artist became enchanted by biophilia - the love of life.BIOPHILIA: The intrinsic need of human beings to be close to nature.
Nature sustains our existence as living beings.
